Healthcare – IT Organizational Development
IT Organizational Development Case Study
A prestigious healthcare certification board was experiencing difficulties in its Information Technology Department including poor collaboration with IT customers on deliverables, low employee morale, poor project management, difficult assimilation of new hires and decreased productivity. The organization is heavily dependent on technology and the strength of the IT team is of critical importance.
HR Logistics was engaged to assess the current state of operations of the IT Department and provide tools and training to improve its teamwork and productivity for the organization. The results of the assessment would also provide a foundation upon which strategic discussions with the executive team could be conducted.
Using various tools and methodologies, HRL’s consultants assessed the current state and designed a program of training to improve the skills of the IT team in areas of Agile project management, communication, and collaboration. The onboarding of new hires was also redesigned to facilitate stronger integration of a new team member into daily operations. Finally, results of the assessment were provided to the executive team in a formal report which was presented and discussed to ensure the organization had an objective assessment and could determine the best path forward to maintain consistent performance and employee satisfaction within the IT Department.
